Hatchet

About the book

After a plane crash leaves thirteen-year-old Brian Robeson stranded in the Canadian wilderness, he has only the clothes he is wearing and a single hatchet to help him survive.

Forced to find food, build shelter and protect himself, Brian must learn how to use the natural world around him. Every small discovery becomes important as he slowly develops the skills needed to stay alive.

Hatchet is a gripping story about survival, resourcefulness and learning through experience. It captures the same satisfaction that comes from gathering materials, solving problems and building a life from almost nothing.
